I am shocked as a New Yorker I haven’t watched a good chunk of these. I am ashamed of myself but now I am going to make a list to check off!
And as always your commentary cracks me up especially the iconic honorable mention of JLO and her cream outfit in the city- literally think about it everytime I see that scene ( a bold move) 🤣👏
Great list! I need to do a first-time watch of a good chunk of these (idk how I've never seen Uptown Girls), but it's mostly inspiring me to rewatch Frances Ha.
Will add that I have a soft spot for The Wackness (incredible soundtrack! one of Mary-Kate's final film performances!) and might also include the first SATC movie and Breakfast at Tiffany's on my personal list of faves.

I didn't even plan to mention J.Lo again, she's just always on my mind!

watch Uptown Girls!! and wait, is The Wackness something I actually need to see?? I only know it as the Mary-Kate kisses Ben Kingsley movie.
(which honestly should be enough to draw me in)
I think you would like it! It's probably flawed story-wise but so good at creating nostalgia for a time and place I never even experienced
So many favorites on this list and too many to comment on! This post scratched a fun-memories part of my brain.
All I’ll say is every time is see the Brooklyn Bridge I think of Saturday Night Fever. How can you not!
Do NYC shows next! (Do I just want to talk about Mad Men a lot? Maybe)
The Way We Were makes me think of you! And I may have to do shows eventually.
That museum sounds really cool. And I was waiting the whole time for When Harry Met Sally!
Love Barefoot in the Park!
My favorite is probably Die Hard with a Vengeance. For Rom-com Two Weeks Notice and or Definitely, Maybe, if that counts.
Never seen any Die Hard movie! And those are both good rom-coms.
